Product Application of Methylcyclopentadienyl Manganese Tricarbonyl CAS#12108-13-3

MMT is primarily used as antiknock and octane-enhancing additive for unleaded gasoline in refinery fuel blending. It can raise gasoline octane rating by 2–3 units at recommended dosage, suppress engine knocking and improve fuel combustion efficiency. It shows good compatibility with oxygen-containing fuel components such as MTBE and ethanol, helping reduce exhaust pollutant emissions.

Besides fuel industry, it acts as organometallic precursor for MOVPE semiconductor thin film preparation, and dopant for ZnSe nanocrystal material research. It can also be applied as catalyst and reaction raw material in fine organic synthesis, suitable for refinery formulation, fuel additive production and advanced material laboratory research.
